Still traveling the state of the rich, the beautiful and the famous, Magi has even more stories to tell - envy is preprogrammed!

I
n Los Angeles we arrived after a six hour bus ride. Our hotel was a lot better here then it had been in San Francisco, where we stayed a couple of days earlier. I had my room with a Swedish girl (no, not my host sister) another German and one Asian girl. I also met the one Australian girl I got to know in Chicago. We hung out most of the time and now I can officialy say, I know somebody from Australia.

So anyway in Los Angeles we did a sight seeing tour and got time for some shopping as well. We went to see Hollywood and the Walk of Fame, which was really cool and some girls actually saw Lindsey Lohan! Of course, we saw the famous Hollywood sign, too. It's smaller then you would think, I don't get how big it seems to be on TV. The weather had changed and now we were wearing skirts and shirts and enjoyed the unfamiliar heat. The next day we went to the beach and played in the Pacific Ocean. It was freezing cold but still wonderful. Not freezing but still refreshing was the hotel pool on the roof. At the evening we exchange folks went swimming and had the greatest fun ever. At all, the group was fun. Maybe I have to mention that at least 60 percent of the group were German. I really tried not to hang out with Germans, who just love to speak their native tounge in front of other Non-Germans. It's rude to talk in front of people when they don't even understand a word you are saying.
Mickey padded my back!

The last day we went to Disneyland. Disneyland is a great place, if you got time and kids. We enjoyed the rides, even though we had to wait in line for at least 40min everytime. I got sunburned this day, but I could stand it. And just after 45min of waiting I finally got to meet Mickey Mouse! And he padded my back!! Hui! At six o'clock the famous parade started. It was just beautiful, all the dancers were smiling and waving and the Disney characters were smiling and waving, too. Peter Pan and Tinkerbell and Arielle waved at me! Muhahaha! It was so pretty and adorable, all these colors and the music and of course my favorite Disney movie "The Lion King" was there as well.

After Disney we had to bring the first couple of students to the airport. We others returned to our hotel rooms to enjoy three peacefully hours of sleep. Then all OUR flights started and we had to say good bye. These were the most exciting 10days I had this year, full of joy and pleasure.

All right, that's about it - good bye.

Magi is 17 years old and lives in Bradford in the US state of Ohio since summer last year (yes, this high school exchange student thing). On WOOLING.NET she tells you about the daily routine over there. Have a look at what she already published.
