On this website you can find out about how many people share the same name with you or how often the name appears in your area. Everything is clearly organized and mapped into countries and federal states. As a sweet cherry on the cake you can also have a look into the names' origin, the so-called name family.

Well, probably you might want to know where all this data comes from. It's as simple as the website's idea: they took them from local telephone book entries, so they are supposed to be absolutely true but might be lacking some individual's information.
The word "Geogen" means geographical genealogy. Genealogy is the more or less latin word for science of ancestral research.
