The Last Chapter E-mail
by Magi | English | Thursday, 26 June 2008

Well, probably (and hopefully) it will not really be whuffle's last chapter but it definitely is her last story about her high school year.

ear friends and everybody reading this.
This is my last article before I will come home.

In May we had our Prom, the last dance of the school year. I wore a beautiful silky blue dress and my hair was now short and brown again. I went with the same people I already went to Homecoming with. We ate at a supposedly Australian restaurant, with very good food but high prices. I ordered a really big chocolate cake, which made me sick all evening long. After dinner we went to Walmart to kill some time. Imaging being dressed for dance and elegance but going to a huge warehouse. But that's what American teenagers do all the time.On the Titanic but still alive

The theme of this year's prom was Titanic, which is kind of creepy because most of the people die in this movie. As you see, I didn't and so I go on with my story.
We had the big piece of a boat in the auditorium, so one was able to play Rose and Will. Spread your arms and fly. Then there were balloons everywhere and big Titanic posters. I thought it looked really pretty. We had a great time at the prom. They were playing good music and we danced as much as you can dance in those tight dresses. Prom was only from nine to twelve and there wasn't any after prom so we had to go home well too early. But I am glad I had been there.

Right the day after prom, my host family and I went to Kings Island, a rollercoaster park, to join the required reentry meeting. We met with all the other Ohio exchange students and basically just heard about the rules again. I also saw the Australian girl Belinda again!! I was very happy about that! Even though I was a little bit tired I rode as many coasters as I could, including Drop Zone, where they let you drop from 100m and catch you right before you hit the ground (or not..hehe). I had great fun this day and I will remember it for sure!

This is where they dropped Magi - what a joy!

On the following Monday I told my friends how much I enjoyed Kings Island. And because they hadn't been there for a while, we went to Kings Island the weekend afterwards. Two of my dearest friends don't like heights but we forced them to ride with us and it was good! We really had great fun!
Time to say good-byeSO... it's been a while since I started writing these articles. It's been a while in a lot of things. I pretty much accomplished my high school year. Yesterday I had my good bye party. Guess what I'm doing today? Right - leaving; however, not to Germany but with my loved real parents on a trip through the USA. Finally they are here! I'm so excited!

Everybody who knew me before this year will (hopefully) see a lot of differences in me. I see them already and I am telling you, I'm proud of what I see.
I wish you all a good night here for the last time.
Believe in yourself and praise the penguin.

Good night
