OS what? E-mail

We try to pick out the rare fantastic websites - every week a new website put on show. This week: How to get a better point of View.

I
t has been a while since Microsoft published its latest operating system. To be little more precise, it has been a year since Microsoft Vista answered discourse and people where introduced to the new operating system. Ever since there were rumors about how good or better how bad Vista actually was.
Well, I have to admit I'm one of these guys who struggled against Vista in the first place. That was also because I've heard about Vista using a whole lot of energy, i.e. resources my computer actually needs for running all the different programs I am using simultaneously.
Vista is the next step or better call it the next weapon in the ongoing OS wars between Mr. MS Gates and Mr. Mac Jobs.
Vulnerable but easy to use
The commanders in the OS wars.
The commanders in the OS wars.
Vista still remains a Microsoft product though which makes it vulnerable to malware like viruses, Trojan horses or phishing attacks. Obviously Mr. Gates and his loyal subjects know about this fact. Therefore, the MS myrmidons made Vista supercalifragilisticexpialidociously secure - they say.
They have also tried to make the whole system a little more user friendly which definitely goes against all odds and disturbs Billy's usual way of life in a surely very significant way. Research has shown that if the system can be used intuitively, the users' work becomes more effective. One reason for this might be that users don't have to be trained in order to work with new systems since they just start working as if it was something completely natural.

For those who can't decide.
For those who can't decide.
Oops, I'm drifting ... frankly speaking, I didn't even plan on mocking Microsoft and trust me when I say that is not only because I don't want Mr. Gates' henchmen to come after me and kill me like a little bird.
I am a Windows user. It all started when I was ... uhm ... let's say fourteen. Yeah, back in the days we haven't had no computers when we were in primary school. And just to prevent silly comments: no, it didn't take me seven years to pass the first four grades, it's called stylistic exaggeration. Whatevs. The evolution went fast forward and before I knew it, I was working with WinXP. The relationship between the two of us went roller-coasted like crazy. The big X and P deleted files when I desperately needed them. Recoveries were possible but demanding. Compatibility has never been an issue because there has always been a way to get around certain limits. Well, I guess you gained your own experiences. Maybe some of you already upgraded to Vista. If this is the case, tell us about it. Is it really that slow? Does it make life easier? What major changes did you notice? I'm quite curious about it; however, I haven't planed to purchase a new system in the near future and Microsoft just announced that they will continue support for the good old XP for (at least) the next six years. Therefore, there is no urgent need to swap to Vista already.
FYI: There is a website as well
The sign reads: "Hate Vista? WinXP computers in stock!"
The sign reads: "Hate Vista? WinXP computers in stock!"
Since none of you called me at work, I could just forget about the promise I made a week ago. For those of you who can't remember or just haven't read last weeks entry (so far), I committed myself to bringing up a new website if you could remember the HDTV facts I wrote about. As a matter of course, I couldn't test your knowledge and therefore created the article you just read. I can literally see people screaming and yelling things like "I learned all these things by heart and now he doesn't give me the webtip I desperately need!" Just to calm you down a little, scroll to the end of this page.

Some ppl say MS copied Mac - it got prettier anyways.

As you can see, there is a website linked and guess what it might be about - Windows Vista. It's called the Mojave Experiment. MS enthusiasts have invited Vista critics to review the new operating system supposedly called Mojave. In the beginning, the slashers were asked to express their opinion on Vista and surely hadn't anything positive to say about the system they obviously have never worked with or even seen live in action. Then, they were introduced to Mojave which was just a disguised Vista and believe it or not, the former pundits were amazed by "Mojave" and astonished when they were told the truth. I have to admit that it is a commercial website advertising Vista but it fits perfectly with lines above and from my point of view, it also has a very nice appearance as well as deeper meaning: Don't judge a book by its cover.
